Introduction
The Certificate in Islamic Revealed Knowledge (CIRK) is designed to provide participants with a broad basis in the disciplines of Islamic sciences. The courses will be taught by prominent lecturers from the International Islamic University Malaysia who have been teaching the subjects in their formal classes. Participants will be introduced to the following courses:
- Aqidah Islamiyyah and Contemporary Challenges
- Introduction to Al-Qur’an and Its Exegetical Studies
- Introduction to Al-Hadith and Studies of Selected Hadith
- Introduction to Syariah and Fiqh
- History of Islam and its Civilization
- Da’wah and Contemporary Challenges
- Islamic Ethics and Contemporary Challenges
- Knowledge and Science and Islamization
- Introduction to Islamization of Knowledge.
This certificate program is open to all. School teachers, college and university lecturers will find these courses beneficial for their classroom teaching. Students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, will obtain additional input to enrich their knowledge in their own specific field of studies. Professionals, community leaders, and the general public will get the opportunity to participate in discussions that will broaden their perspectives.
Conducted online via ZOOM, this short course is organized by IIIT East and Southeast Asia in collaboration with AHAS Kuliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, IIUM. Participation in this program is free of charge and a Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants attending a minimum of 80% of all required classes.
